Mehndi is used mostly in subcontinent and middle east.In past mehndi is only used as tikka(a round dot on hand) which still look very beautiful. Two three centuries ago mehndi designs are applied with match stick or any other wooden stick or in high societies the mehndi was applied with gold strings...
